The scissors

When I was at school the scissors was the technique used for executing the high jump. I still use the scissors technique for traversing this fallen tree but these days I have one foot firmly on the ground at all times. It's at these times that I wonder how Dick Fosbury came up with the idea  of flipping, or was it flopping, over backwards. The rest is history, as they say.
After walking the dog Mum & I went down to the Willows for some retail therapy. After much searching plus the help of Heather, a member of M&S staff,  we purchased 3 pairs of trousers which unfortunately are too long. Another job to add to my list.
We whizzed back to Newton Abbot, picked up foundation from Superdrug for Mum, plus meat from Baker's the butchers.
Back at Mum's, a quick coffee while preparing her cooked meal, then home
for a speedy snack with hubby before driving up to The Stables cafe, at Harcombe House, a Fire Fighter's Society convalescent complex, to meet Jan for a catch up. The cafe is  manned by volunteers & open to the public during the day. A gorgeous outlook on a sunny day .... today the sun shone. Whoop whoop!!
