Russian prisoner camp

I really wished to see the local church from the 13th century. We couldn't get into the church, but beside it, there was this memorial statue for Russian war prisoners. It was placed outside the church yard, but in a beautiful place. We had discussed a possible cooperation with the russians within our project. I objected, because none of us can speak Russian or knows the culture. As we stood by this statue, staring at the ancient viking route, our Norwegian told me that they consider the Russians friends as they evicted the nazis.
