Meet-up

Chris (the man at the back) and I have been firm friends since we met on the first day of senior school in 1966 aged 11. We were often taken for brothers. He went into medicine and I went into the civil service (leaving 30 years ago this July) then ordained ministry in the Church of England. We are now both retired as are our wives, although Fiona still very occasionally supply teaches. We were best man for each other. We are both married to the same woman (if you see what I mean). Chris and Pat will have been married 40 years this September and Fiona and I 36 years ago yesterday. We met today in Barnard Castle. After a light lunch we strolled along the Tees in surprisingly pleasant sunshine - see extra. Back home tomorrow.
