Sculptural

Bark stripped bare on one section of a huge willow tree looks as if it has been chiselled and honed into an abstract sculpture. Almost like solidified lava flowing down the side of the tree.

A gloomy day with no directional light. I decided monochrome would bring out the texture and form, but additional burning helped to bring out the shapes.

Extra: Waterlogged. A closer shot of a sandhill crane, than the other day, in its preferred wetland habitat, albeit rather deeper than it might like.
