A goodbye day!

Our lovely and very talented assistant editor PD is leaving us along with our post production supervisor Sarah. We’re so delayed in delivery (train delayed!) that they both have other jobs to go on to….love them both and they’ve both done great work so it’s a loss.  Behind PD is our VFX supervisor and it was him who made this brilliant card of Thomas the Tank engine, with PD’s face going off a cliff.  How we laughed.

We went to Dishoom off Carnaby St and had a really lovely meal.  I hadn’t been for a while and forgotten how gorgeous the food is, and what a fun vibe. It was packed.  Fresh, delicious dishes bring to life old classics that are tired in the memory.  Oh my it was lovely.

Then went over to St Mary’s Paddington and saw V who was out of bed and getting his first taste of real food for three weeks.  P was there when I got there and it was a lovely visit

Train back in the rain.  V and I were meeting Rachel at the Good Intent to see the weekly Irish music session (yes more folk).  What an odd little pub, quite small three linked rooms one of which was turned over to the musicians, all amateur mainly drop ins, Charlie who leads them (in his 80s) says they never know who’s going to play.   Most of the audience nursed half a pint of Guinness (if that) so I am not sure how the pub makes anything.  We didn’t stay late as they didn’t serve food and V hadn’t eaten ( I was still Dishoomed) and so went home for a bowl of couscous.
