On the Prowl

Today we spent the morning in the Lagoon Hide and in the afternoon we went on another Game Drive.  There were so many highlights. We saw a baby Rhinoceros, baby Giraffe, several lions, and this magnificent Cheetah.  We initially spent time with her as she was relaxing.  I have posted a ferocious looking extra, however she was really just yawning.  

Once again we were able to get out of the jeep and get close and down low to get our shots.  The Cheetahs at Zimanga have been completely habituated to humans from the time the were born.  This works because they are the most docile of the big cats.  

We moved on after a while, but stayed nearby as it seemed she was going to go on the hunt soon, and so she did as seen here. We waited and waited, but finally it got dark and we had to return to the lodge.
