S bend

A bit limited for inspiration so here is a bendy wee burn in Whitburn.
Just checked and this is called the White Burn. Guessing that's where the town gets it's name from then.
I then wondered about the convenience store nearby called the Gothenburg. Odd name thinks me. That turns out to be linked to a thing with a movement that started in Sweden in the 19th century with excessive drunkeness and the banning home distilleries. These new trust run establishments started, selling beer and other goods for the benefit of the community.
This then spread to Scotland in the early 20th century and so a lot of pubs cropped up in Fife and the Lothians with Goth in the name.
So nothing to do with architecture, rock music or moody teens in black. Not sure if sorted out the drinking problem. More here if anyone wants to check it out.
