The Coal Race

A wee visit to Kelty Children's Gala today, the highlight of which is the Coal Race.
For the un-initiated: men, women and kids race uphill for over a mile while carrying a bag of coal.
The winner of the men's race did it in a time of 4 mins 18 secs!!

It's a great day out with a real community feel.
I believe one or two beers may also be consumed...
