Real World Crypto 2024

The main event of the week started today: Real World Crypto 2024. This year it was held at the TIFF Lightbox in Toronto. There were 500 ish attendees, which was a little down on previous years, but still rather good.

The first day of RWC always includes the award of the Levchin Prizes. There are two awards each year.

For 2024 the first of the prizes went to Anna Lysyanskaya and Jan Camenisch for the development of Anonymous credentials.

The second of the prizes went to Al Cutter, Emilia Käsper, Adam Langley, and Ben Laurie for the development and deployment of Certificate Transparency.
