The Adders

Snake alert. We spotted two beautiful adders on the cycle track at Beckermet this afternoon. Dog walkers beware, it is that time of year again.  
They are very shy creatures and normally disappear if they sense you near, However they can give a nasty bite in defence if threatened. The main danger is to inquisitive dogs or children stepping on them by accident. People just need to be aware and keep dogs and children away from them.
