Things I learned today

Thanks to Oz Clarke, I learned today that (1) Primitivo is “the leading black grape in Puglia, southern Italy” and (2) it is more environmentally friendly and sustainable to put wine in tins. Waitrose started doing this instead of small bottles for most of its range in January 2023. I have tried some of the other Italian wines in their range. This can, however, is for soaking some sour cherries for Easter Sunday lunch, but there might be a little ‘tasting’ swig left over…
