Borrowing Day - May 2024

Showers this morning, but it soon cleared into a beautiful sunny day, with clouds passing over.  Warm, with a gentle breeze, calm later. 

Up early, a morning puttering about the house.  Headed out walkies with Sammy.  A quiet afternoon at home, more walkies and some time in the garden.  Working in the shop this evening, busy as usual.  Nipped out for a quick pint on my way home. 

The borrowing days are here again.  Today is a borrowed day from May, meant to predict the weather for the whole month of May.  Well, I'm certainly glad it's been a beautiful spring day, warm too, here's hoping for a lovely month.  More than likely just old folklore, but always good fun to see if the predictions come true.  Looking like a good weekend ahead.  The 30th is for June, 31st for July.  A fine walk out to the Böd of Nesbister, Whiteness.
