Blue Dasher Dragonfly

Gorgeous day today. Went to Petit Bois Island, which is part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore. We had the whole beach to ourselves. I walked up to the marshy area that runs down the center of the island and captured this blip of a blue dasher dragonfly. I liked the way he showed up against the sand ans he perched on the grass.

Also had a pod of Bottlenose porpoises that entertained us by jumping out of the water. (I didn't get a picture of them jumping, because as I had waded out to a sand bar to take pictures of the porpoises when a shark swam by~I got out for a bit after that!!)
