A Raven

…from an etching by Eberhard Schlotter, in his portfolio “Das Odfeld”, after Wilhelm Raabe’s historical novel. After yesterday’s incident with the injured raven in our garden, I dug the case up in the attic to inspect the prints. (In German, the name “Raabe” has a connotation to the animal name “Rabe” for raven.)
Updated 9:30 pm: news from the animal shelter: the raven is fine. Staff is marvelling at its sheer size.
