Super Saturday

A lovely nostalgic afternoon in my old stomping ground with pal Christina.

After we'd enjoyed a glass of prosecco with an afternoon tea in the Grosvenor Hotel, we made our way through the crowds on Byres Road - it was never so busy in the 70s! - and walked along to Hyndland to meet our chauffeur (Christina's husband).

We passed the street where I'd lived during my school- and student-days, then came across The Rock, the pub that had been my local. After I'd taken a quick photo, Christina pointed out that the actor Sanjeev Kohli (from 'Still Game' fame) was sitting at a bench with some pals.

Now watching the final of 'Gladiators' - more nostalgia!
