Sunshine

Yeah - a lovely day of sunshine.  I was picked up after my 'usual' coffee and four of us went on a day out onto Exmoor. Our driver is newish to the area and had never been to Tarr Steps so off we went.  En route we came across a 'fun' hold up. The farmers were moving sheep from fields to the lambing shed, along one of the small Devon lanes.  They trundled along for about ten minutes until they got to their destination. One lucky sheep was having a ride in the trailer!
We managed to find parking at the bottom of the hill, saving me a long(ish) uphill walk, to photograph the famous Tarr Steps, an ancient clapper bridge crossing on the River Barle, possibly dating back to 1000 BC. We enjoyed a cuppa here before heading off to Dulverton where we enjoyed a light lunch and wandered around the church and then down to the river. Coming home we noticed one of my favourite tea shops on the moor, Boveys, has finally reopened, so we popped in for a cuppa!
It was a great day out.
