splintered lance

Trip to Spandau to see the jousting tournament at the Fortress Spandau. The weather was lovely and the spectacle, well, spectacular. Music was provided by Corvus Corax (see extra), three bagpipes, two drum sets and a base. They've been going for quite a while (apparently 35 years). I remember listening to them when I was at school. There were also a pair of jugglers, Opus Furore, who did their stuff rather well (2nd extra). We really enjoyed the afternoon. I also particularly enjoyed watching the large medieval subculture. Key prop seems to be a drinking horn.
