We Can't See You Again Soon

My god today was miserable. It just lashed it down with rain for most of the day but I must admit it did encourage me to go for today's abstract image - this shot was actually taken through the windscreen of my car when we stopped off for supplies at some nearby shops - it's actually a sign that says "see you again soon" but I liked the fact that this was contradicted by the rainfall blurring and almost entirely obscuring the wording altogether.
In view of the inclement weather we decided to just hunker down indoors for the day so of course this means I have another TV recommendation for you. It's a documentary series on Sky Arts called Record On which delves into the making of groundbreaking albums, examining the social, cultural and political focus of the times in which they were made and the motivations of the artists and bands behind them.
We'd already watched a previous episode on Paul Weller's album Wild Wood and today we watched another instalment on The Specials eponymous first album which had added poignancy to it following the death of their lead singer Terry Hall in 2022. I found them both fascinating and enlightening with the wonderful accompaniment of all that great music.
