Old wood mill

The already strong wind increased during the day to about force 5. I have neither the fitness nor the strength for so much violence and often had to stop to catch my breath.  Fortunately it wasn't raining and turning left, then winding right, we cycled against the wind or with the wind in our backs. To complete the picture;  it gradually became colder.  The predicted 17 degrees remained at 13 degrees. We hardly saw the sun.

It's not just negative, the area is beautiful.  It is a rolling, very rural area and we even drove through a village with, to our surprise, Drenthe-Groningen farms with straw roofs.  We had coffee at a restaurant in an old wood mill, part of its paddle wheel can be seen on my blip today.

Barely 10 km from Hückelhoven where we stayed last night, lays Wassenberg where we'll be staying in the castle. Of course we covered many more kilometers for our bike tour.
