The Spirit of Jarrow

Son R and I continued our walk along Hadrian's Way and the River Tyne all the way to Wallsend and the Roman fort of Segendum.  (Don't tell anyone but we did the last few km by Metro. ).
Next stop Jarrow to educate R and because I recently read The Long Road from Jarrow by Stuart Maconie.  
Final stop the Roman fort of  Arbeia in South Shields overlooking the entrance to the Tyne.  We've now finished our own Roman Coast to Coast mostly on foot.
