Purplish Magnolia

Blooming in one of the gardens on Romway Close. I find it exquisite. Basil and I had taken Cecily out to go in search of the amazing new artwork that has appeared on the wall of the building adjoining Church Court (see extra). It's been painted by a well known local artist who specialises in street art. I think it's fantastic.

Back home, Len cooked a full English for brunch and we settled down to watch Ben Hur. I realised that I'd never seen it all the way through before. It's a long film.

Len cooked sausages for tea. We've agreed that they were tasteless and stodgy.

Countryfile followed by David Attenbororough narrating the sound track to Mammals. Then it was Antiques Roadshow which was a splendid opportunity for me to go and make the cake I had promised for tomorrow.
