Pilot

CyclopsJnr in the pilot seat of a Percival Sea Prince T Mk. 1!

After a lovely breakfast at the hotel, we popped in to the Solway Aviation Museum for a quick visit.  CyclopsJnr loved poking around inside some of the aircraft, and we all enjoyed getting inside the Vulcan.

Afterwards we headed to Penrith with the intention of grabbing something for lunch.  Most places were shut for Easter Sunday (we hadn't expected that - I don't think as many places shut in Scotland) so we ended up at Greggs for a quick bite.  Then CyclopsJnr and MrsCyclops got on the bus to Windermere to see Grandma while Cyclops headed back to Edinburgh. The bus journey was necessitated by no trains running today, but it was a stunning route down Ullswater and Kirkstone Pass in beautiful spring weather so actually very enjoyable.

Nice to play some ludo with Grandma and visit the pump track.

CyclopsJnr had been up late for dinner last night and lost an hour due to the clocks going forward so he was exhausted - he was asleep by 7pm!!!
