A dahlia plant

My niece-in-law popped in yesterday to give me a plant for Easter. It is a lovely coloured dahlia. I planted it and today took a photo. It was a lovely surprise and my back garden certainly needed more colour. I hope the position is good for it and that it will thrive.

A month of autumn has passed and I am still waiting for cool  temperatures. Warm weather is still very much around. At one level, very nice weather … but not autumn.
