Through the roof

Going on holiday! Not only did I not blip on holiday, I didn't use either internet or phone while we were out of the country.
Had a couple of school assemblies to do Thursday morning but then we left after lunch to get trains to Gatwick Airport. This is at Edinburgh Waverley station where we had our first change.
The train journey went fine apart from a delay of about an hour a few minutes out of Kings Cross, after a person had been hit and killed by another train. Very sad and you don't complain about delays after that.
This meant we were quite late getting to Gatwick after a change from Kings Cross to St Pancras; got a taxi to the Travelodge where we had a precious few hours (trying to) sleep before an early flight next morning.
I'm going to take my time posting holiday photos so come back later to find out where we went (if you haven't been paying attention) and if we had a good holiday.
