Plug hole

Another late start, this time after a night of far-too-little sleep. The only upside was that at 3.00am I finally finished the novel that I've been reading for months!

Rain all morning, but by mid-afternoon it had stopped and we decided on an evening walk around Digley Reservoir. It's a short walk (just over 2.5km), but very pleasant. After all the rain it's not surprising that there's more water in the reservoir than when we've been before, and this time water was pouring down the plug hole (aka the 'shaft spillway' apparently). The plug hole is designed to regulate water levels when the reservoir becomes full.

Home to a quick, late meal of beans on toast with a poached egg. Sometimes there's nothing better!
