CALIFORNIA LUPINE

There are 82 species of native LUPINES
in California, so it would be fun to guess
which one I saw on my late afternoon hike,
today. We also saw INDIAN PAINTBRUSH &
a tiny blue wildflower. The bush LUPINES, my favorite, were blooming in the distance.

It was perfect weather for a hike:
70F (21.1C) dry, sunny & calm.
It’s been awhile since since we walked
this hilly trail & I was feeling it. Angus is 11 now, but he was in great form. Ellie, my daughter’s dog, was the youngest & up
for a few more miles.

We will all sleep well tonight.
