Not much use

Despite the unrelenting rain, I had a lovely walk in Inveresk Lodge Garden this morning, meeting some lovely people on the way.

There was the National Trust worker going round photographing and trying to identify every different type of daffodil in the garden.

I also met this lovely volunteer couple in the glasshouse, who told me the history of the house, before we went onto a discussion about averies and zoos.

I also learnt that there are three wild deer living in the bottom field currently, and that there is a stick by the end pond, which has been placed there for the visiting kingfishers.

A fun visit, although, I suspect the sundial will not get much use today.

Have a good midweek, all.
