..endeavour to persevere

Feral Youth

Moving to Whitehaven from Kent 3 years ago was quite an eye opener.
Living in the crowded south east, things were much more controlled and locked down. It's wild up here in respect of weather but relaxed in terms of attitude.  People even say hello when you pass them by. There is little health and safety, the harbour breakwaters have no safety barriers to resist a 40ft drop and you pick your way over the 200 year old paving. This would all be completely out of bounds and condemned in the south east (although I suppose they would have the money to fix things).
So to my blip - a couple of feral youth on top of the Old Coastguard Lookout, on the confusingly named Old New Quay, adjacent to the splendidly named Rocket Brigade HQ.
Nobody seemed to worry and harbour business went on as usual,  maybe they got down ok, maybe they didn't....
