Hoy

The Current Mrs Creel makes her way down Mill Brae to the Hoy Pier.  In case you are tempted, the old Hoy Manse (concealed on left) is currently on the market. Scapa Flow is on the right.  For many years the Manse was owned by the McKenzies.  He had been a Naval  Commander based in the Flow, Mrs McKenzie belonged to Rogart.  They kept the grounds meticulously.  From Spring until Sept they sent a great deal of garden produce across to the shops in Stromness.  Since then there has been a few owners and the building, which is now empty, has suffered from neglect.  Whoever buys it will need very deep pockets.  CMC is away for the ferry as every Thursday afternoon she works in the cat charity shop.

The above will indicate we are across at the bolt hole.  The temp is 6C and the wind a chilly north east.  The sky has been sprayed with remnants of WD battleship grey paint.  Not supplied by the Commander.

I am sorry about the paucity of Blips.  I have spent the last 72 hrs on my back again.  Once more l am dipping in (literally) to the exercises devised by the aptly named Robin McKenzie, of Auckland (not related).  It is thirty years to the day since the op on my back in Aberdeen Infirmary.  The only reason l remember is that my niece was born in the Infirmary that selfsame day.

I trust you all have exemplary behaviour.
