Scenic City!

16.00  -  9°C  -  10 mph ESE Wind Speed  -  18 mph Gusts  -  Cloudy.  Had to go to the Bank so took a few scenic shots in the Partick district of Glasgow.  Main blip shows typical city traffic, 1st Extra shows typical pedestrian-crossing oblivious pedestrian busy on his iphone, 2nd Extra shows the soot remains on buildings even after years of severe cleansing.  I remember visiting my sister in Glasgow in the 1950's and the soot was falling from the skies like black snowflakes! I lived in London at the time and in the Winter of 1951 during the day the smog was so thick that busses had to be led by lanterns because their headlights weren't strong enough to penetrate the smog!
