Childhood playground (Day 3251)

After what has been a very tough day, I took my beautiful wife and Sigyn to visit an old childhood haunt. I probably have hundreds of photos of this waterfall in all seasons, from a summertime trickle to a winter ice cliff. I have stood on the viewing platform with different dogs and been eaten by midges or soaked by spray from a waterfall raging in full spate.
It occurred to me while we were there today that two of the people I spent most time with there are gone. My best mate from school, Sam, died ten years or so ago. Today, we laid my wee brother to rest.
Neither of them made it to 50.
It just seems so fucking unfair.

Today, it was the right place to walk.
