The Yellow Field

Travelling home yesterday I spotted a tree against the vivid yellow of the field full of rapeseed in Wonastow, Monmouth (South Wales, UK) alongside the A40.

Early afternoon today I found the farm and got permission of the farmer to go on the field and take some photographs. The field was really boggy and getting home clothes went in the wash!

Late afternoon a neighbour popped in for a good hour for coffee and a chat, and it was only then that the rain came in - again! Even the farmer said he'd not known a winter as long and wet as this one.
