2024 Wednesday — Dozens of Poppies

Our backyard is decorated in poppies. Most of them are volunteers; last spring and early summer we planted poppies, but not yet this season.

But one of these poppy plants seems to be producing BIG blossoms. However, because the sky has been filled with gray clouds all day today the poppies never opened so this is not a photo that captures the enormous size of this flower.

After yesterday’s summer-like temperatures, today has been cold — burr!
