Walking on water

We went for a 12 km walk along the beach with our friends in Meols. At low tide there is a massive expanse of sand with pools of water reflecting the clouds. This is the beautiful Snoopy who is so gentle and loving and attracts pats from everyone passing.
The extras are of Hilbre Island which is in the Dee River estuary. It used to be a life boat and coast guard station among other things. By this stage I had had it, not being used to such long walks but we still had a bit of a walk across the beach to get to the nearest village. We caught the train back from there and picked up fish and chips on the way home. My friends talked me in to a soak in the tub afterwards which was heaven on my sore muscles and joints.
