On fire

There have been a few fires in the news today, including the puzzling news that a Chinese lantern may have been responsible for a fire in a recycling depot in the Midlands, but it's perfectly legal to let these balls of fire go into the sky. I would have thought that there might be a case for applying the principle in Rylands v Fletcher...

Anyway, enough of that law nonsense. Every so often, in the summer, the setting sun can make it look as if the St James centre might be on fire. Now there would be some possible good news. I've uploaded a more conventional picture of the incident to flickr. Here are some other uploads as the light was quite good tonight.

It was lucky it turned out like this because it saved you from a picture of either some bicycles or some mint (murray mint, geddit?). Both are blips that are banked for possible further use this week if weather requires it.
