Manuka - an exciting find

As an occasional user of Manuka honey* (last used pre Covid as can't remember having a cold since then!), was excited to learn - thanks Google - my blip is a Leptospermum Scoparium, also known as a 'Manuka', or New Zealand tea tree. Had no idea it grew here too (in select conditions)

Mid afternoon, the winds had abaited by then and it was pleasantly mild. Walked down to the pier through the lower gardens. For a change sat outside on the terrace and had cider at Urban Gardens (sadly no Aspall).

Then walked up Terrace Mount where I found my blip in the tiny front garden of an unimposing small block of flats.

Popped into Tesco a few seconds before closing (nice fellow at the door let us in). Bus home, dinner. Felt cold so went to bed with a hot water bottle.

*Not strictly vegan, I do realise.
