Storm continues

Storm Kathleen was still very much in evidence in Mull today . The blip was taken around 6 pm at Fionnphort down at the slipway where the ferry to Iona normally departs - not today however ! Iona can be seen in the distance .

Lambing on the Croft is going at a pace and I met up with the young shepherdess showing we do have marsupials in Scotland as she rescued a triplet from the winds and planned to twin it on to a ewe that had lost a lamb. When I first met H she was just a schoolgirl but now she has 3 daughters of her own , all keen and proficient at lambing sheep, even the little 3 year old. The oldest girl wants to be a vet !

The second extra shows just how clever these sheep are at finding shelter from the wind as they gathered behind the rocky outcrop- in the foreground the newly lambed ewe had even chosen this spot to deliver her twins.
The last extra certainly shows the strength of the wind as the washing dances around on the line.
