Golden Gardens Ponds Egret

I managed to get in a tasty little ride this morning to Golden Gardens Park.
I have never seen so many Egrets at one time before!
I watched one Egret make a high-speed landing approach that it had to abort.
A Canada Goose, who was in the landing zone, spread its wings and squawked loudly causing the Egret to pull up and veer off.
Lots of turtles were taking advantage of the intermittent sunshine warmth by basking on the floating logs.
A pleasant conversation with a young couple walking their English Bulldogs was yet another treat packed into this short ride.
