Wet Walk

The Bus Pass Walkers came across a worrying sight on walk from Milner Field - discovered a chap lying on an tree branch overhanging the weir on River Aire - which given recent rainfall was in full spate - didn’t want to shout out to ask if was ok - in case he was startled and lost his balance - phoned police for advice - using What Three Words to give precise location - he eventually edged back to the river bank and after swearing at us picked up his bag and umbrella and went on his way - in the opposite direction to us

Rest of the walk nearly as planned - caught two buses - had two refreshment stops - passed by Bridge 208 on the canal - espied my first bluebells and wild garlic flower - leaves seem to have been about for some time - and boat planted with spring bulbs - just couldn’t organise the weather - walked at the wettest part of the day - but as always conversation had plenty of dry humour
