A Day At A Time.

An OAP at last. A day one thought was so far in the future as to be a figment. But the birthday has come.

And I don't feel any older, but in a few weeks I shall be a little bit richer as my pension drops into the account. Well, some of it, at least. That battle still rages.

It has been a fine day. Breakfast at the chiringuito in the sunshine. Followed by some pampering in the hairdressers with a haircut and a manicure.

Then lunch with Derek at the Seaside, looking at this view for a couple of hours.

That was followed by a brief siesta and a visit from Jacqui with cards and pressies.

And all too soon it is bedtime and it's all over for another year.

As a great philosopher once said, "What are birthdays? Here today, gone tomorrow." I think that was Eeyore.
