This giant willow onion was created for the walled garden at the Culzean Castle by artist Trevor Leat.
In 1857, the head gardener. David Murray, created the onion Ailsa Craig. This huge onion can grow to 2.7kg( 6lbs) in weight. Hence it's popularity for horticulture shows.
