King Doniert stone

Started the day with a long wet muddy dog walk.
Then popped into Tragos for a few things.
Arranged to visit my sister, so since it was getting close to lunchtime I picked up 2 pasties from Warren's.
We sat for several hours chatting, catching up, eating pasties and drinking tea.
Then on the way home King Doniert's stone looked quite mystical in the Cornish mizzle.
The smaller stone is the Doniert stone it has a Latin inscription that translates to "Doniert has begged prayers for his soul".
The taller stone is called "the Other Half Stone". They both have a mortice craved in the top which would have held a granite cross.
King Doniert was the last king of Cornwall, he is recorded as King Dumgarth who was drowned in Cornwall in 875 AD.
The dogs and I had another longish wet walk before getting home
