Compromise

Picked up two thin double door cabinets from B&Q this morning and started putting them up early afternoon.
Didn't go too bad, considering I hate DIY and doing stuff like this. It would be ok if it was one cabinet but with two you have to get them level and close together etc!
anyway, putting up the second one we had not allowed for the light switch which was a tiny bit deeper than the depth of the cabinet backing so it made it stick out a few mm's.
Thought we could take it off and tape up the bare wires. That didn't work as there is a second switch for the lights in the Utility room.
Not being very proficient in electrics I didn't want to experiment with attaching wires together so the solution was to cut a square out of the back of the backing board of the second cabinet. Luckily, it matched just where the switch was (Thanks for doing the measuring Marlane).
Got there in the end but it was a real fiddle getting the cabinets closed up together, in the end I drilled through one and partly through the other and screwed them together. That worked.
