Abrahamic Family House

The Abrahamic Family House is rooted in the UAE's values of peaceful coexistence, diversity, and dialogue, and embodies the country's longstanding history of bringing people and cultures together.

The site comprises a church (left), mosque (centre) and a synagogue (right) all set within a shared garden.

The three houses of worship are designed of equal stature, size and materiality to eliminate any sense of hierarchy. The three structures border an elevated landscaped garden that becomes a shared space for gathering and connection.
The Mosque is oriented towards Mecca, the Church towards the East and the Synagogue towards Jerusalem.

The Abrahamic Family House is designed by the Ghanaian-British architect Sir David Adjaye OM OBE, who has manifested the institution's vision into physical form.

The mission of the Abrahamic Family House builds on that historical legacy and is inspired by concepts laid out in The Document on Human Fraternity signed by His Holiness Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al Azhar His Eminence Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb in 2019, and particularly the belief that open dialogue, understanding, and acceptance are paramount to addressing the many challenges humanity faces today.

We managed to find a vet open, so took Gizmo to be checked out. Basically he has fallen from a height and twisted his foot. Some painkillers and no climbing for a few days.
