SOS

We live in a very peaceful part of the country, but from time to time the quiet is disturbed by the sound of helicopter rotor blades as the Royal Navy Rescue helicopter flies (nearly always) practice missions up and down the glen and around the mountain peaks.

The practice naturally has to take place in all sorts of weathers, snow, hail, wind, rain... Today the conditions were wet with quite low cloud, and although the helicopter could be heard it was not always visible as it dipped in and out of the corries. This photo was taken as it flew northwards towards Glen Loin having made a circuit of the Cobbler and Ben Narnain.
