Working!

Cityfibre came back this morning and discovered our fiber had mysteriously failed so put in a new one.  We're all up and running now.

Sky Broadband was giving us about 60Mbps down and 20Mbps up.  Zen Fibre Internet is giving us 100Mbps down and up to 900Mbps up over ethernet.  The Fritzbox WiFi router has pretty disappointing performance (speed and range), but then again so did the Sky one.  I was already using this TP-Lint beast for wifi, so I just swapped it over to the Zen connection and everything works.  90-100Mbps download and 50Mbps upload from anywhere in the house.  That will do.

At the same time as doing this we're getting rid of (increasingly ridiculously overpriced) Sky TV and switching over to Amazon Fire sticks.  Two installed and configured, one to go.  It's a bit of a PITA logging into all the different streaming services we use (BBC, ITV, STV, C4, C3, YouTube, Netflix, Apple TV+ etc) for the first time, but once set up it works pretty well.
