Dove sitting

I went out to look at the irises because the wind has been ferocious and one stem was laying on the ground. When I bent over to see if it was broken or just knocked over this dove was right at my eye level! I did not even see it until I bent over.

It actually sat there long enough for me to go get my phone for a photo. I thought it might be hurt but when the dog came towards me it flew off.

Glad I got a photo before that happened.

One iris stem was broken so those two yellow flowers are in the house.
