Went with N&K (and R of course) to a tasting menu based restaurant called The Smallholding, in Kilndown. The chef is the son of friends and has just become head chef there. The philosophy is local producers and use of unusual ingredients and it really works as the food was incredible. We all had the full 8 courses plus a lot of wine, so it was very expensive, but enjoyable nonetheless. Wouldn’t be able to afford to go back too often but for the occasional special night out it is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants I have been to.
