Pigeon

We went to Addenbrookes hospital today, but not for an appointment. We went to a seminar/lecture thing on Glaucoma. It was interesting, especially the doctor who spoke, although neither of us learnt very much, but then we are well informed. From the questions many attendees were asking it was clear that it was more useful for them; we will go to the next one.

The event was held in the Clinical School of Medicine and on leaving we discovered a café, which anyone can use. We had a snack lunch which was excellent and very good value for money. We also had coffee, which was the best to be had, in my opinion, in the whole of Addenbrookes; we shall be going again.

This afternoon I typed up the minutes of yesterday’s u3a committee meeting.

Today’s picture is of a pigeon about to take a drink from the bird bath.

The temperature at noon today was seventeen degrees Celsius.
