Currently the same weather rolls on to the next day, but when I turned the corner I was greeted with this sight.  On returning from Carlisle (Adam has gone to pick up his car after work) I turned on to the A591 and headed towards Keswick.  These trees were opposite Dodd Wood and on the Mirehouse estate.  Dodd Wood is a forest walk and part of Skiddaw.  Blip sorted.  As you can see it was a dull, wet day, but these certainly got my attention.
Mirehouse is a small stately home, once visited by Tennyson, with walks and 'natural play areas.'
Have a good weekend everyone.
